We will use a sterile, hollow glass cup and rotate a small flame inside of it. The flame source is then removed from the glass, and the glass cup is applied to your skin where it acts as a vacuum, or “sucking” pressure. This allows for blood flow in the direction of the cup, thus immensely improving blood flow to areas that were once stagnated. Additionally, this treatment draws out toxins from your body, tonifying and detoxing the harmful substances trapped inside the various meridians it comes into contact with. This seemingly simple (and very relaxing might we add) treatment has shown to aid in a multitude of ailments such as infertility, arthritis, acne, migraines, anxiety & depression, allergies and varicose veins. Cupping can also be used as a rehabilitation therapy after traumatic injury or as a way of promoting healing in post-surgery patients.
To Dr. Nia’s delight, in recent years the popularity and knowledge behind herbal therapy and aromatherapy have led to a vast increase in the amount of people using these therapies.

During each treatment, Dr. Nia offers only the best aromatherapy oils created by author and acupuncturist Dr. Martha Lucas. During the first 5 minutes of each and every single treatment with Dr. Nia, you will be given the opportunity to speak freely about your current day/week so that she may use specifically created oils for a variety of emotional and physical ailments. Some of the offered oils target Change, Happy, Relief, Om, Warrior, Sleep and She. In addition to traditional aromatherapy oils, Dr. Nia uses strong oils that include medicinal properties that target pain and muscle relief.
Due to popular demand, we now offer a treatment upgrade which allows your acupuncture and cupping treatment to be combined with traditional herbal and aromatherapy oils.
After your relaxing treatment, Dr. Nia offers a shot of pure Rose, Orange Blossom or Mint Water to enhance your mood while also providing antioxidant properties, relieving headaches, soothing digestion amongst other benefits.
